About the pub
Cosy pub
Like walking back in time, this very little traditional gem of a pub still has the original gantry and bar together with the over mantle IPA mirror which has reflected the times and shenanigans since World War 1.
If the walls could talk you would be regaled with japes gone by, Joe’s stories and Dorothy’s unforgettable acerbic deadpan wit.
Since reopening in January 2020 to loud approval, the bar continues to welcome old chums and new friends. The whisky selection is continually evolving and offers an interesting array of mainly Speyside bottles and has gained a strong following due to our competitive pricing.
We are lucky enough to have an off-licence as well and are happy to procure your favourite dram if we can or occasionally sell one of our collector’s bottles. Please ask for details for the latest selection.
In these unprecedented times, we are so thankful for all the support we get from our local friends. During the winter months when we have curtailed our opening times, we
offer the bar for private hire when otherwise we would be shut, charging a nominal minimum spend only. We will try to facilitate each request – please contact us.
Just as a river blocked will change its course to flow freely once more, we are adapting to ensure the important lynchpin of village life remains a constant - we are The Fiddichside Inn - we are there for each other.
Come and join the friendly atmosphere at our
couthy, unspoiled, riverside pub
Private hire is available to everyone. No hire charge only very reasonable min spend. Book for a long or short session and for a max of 10 people to enable social distancing to be adhered to.
